Birthday Birthday!

Last week was my birthday!  Yay!  I turned 22 so all the exciting birthday's are over and here on out, it's just another year older.  I was VERY blessed however, by my family who had a little party for me and took me to a movie and ice cream!  And by the family I work for!  They blessed my socks off by making me cards and waffles and singing to me!  It was precious!  Many of my friends blessed me with gifts, coffee, spamming my facebook wall, and just making me feel loved!  It was truly a great week!

My Mother is very creative for birthday's.  And ever since we were little kids, she's made the best cakes that are so beautiful and yummy!  Here are a few pictures of the awesomeness of my cake!

And to top it off, Moose tracks Ice cream!!!!

When you give a boy a remote...

I got a super fun toy for my birthday!  I got a wireless shutter remote!  It's too much fun!  I took it work one day and of course, it was hours of entertainment for the 4 year old!  (Ok, not hours but if I let him, he might have filled up my memory card with pictures!)  And for the 1 year old trying to figure out what is going on!

So when you give a boy a shutter remote, we have to make funny faces and take pictures of ourselves!

Tomorrow I will be attempting family pictures using my remote!  Wish me luck!  I'm super nervous and excited!

When a big brother shares his chips...

Sometimes big brothers wish that little brothers were bigger and could run and chase them.  Sometimes little brothers just aren't big enough yet

Sometimes big brothers don't like to share with little brothers.  Little brothers often finish eating first, and like to sit at big brothers table and try and get some of big brothers lunch

Sometimes big brothers don't want to share

Sometimes babysitters ask big brother to please share a few chips with little brother.

Sometimes sweet big brothers love little brothers so much, they kindly give little brothers some of their chips.

Sometimes big brothers are careful to break the chip into little bites to make sure little brothers don't choke

As you can imagine, this makes one really happy little brother!

So when a big brother shares his chips, it makes babysitters proud that he is so loving, and little brother so happy that he got chips!

Little sister

My "little" brother is currently in flight school and last week we thought he was going to be flying into the airport minutes from our house, so we bundled up and faced the cold hoping to see him fly!  Sadly, it was to windy and cloudy for him to come all the way to Lansing so we didn't see him :(  That photo shoot will have to wait.  So, I took advantage of the camera in my hand and took a few shots of the cold, cute little girl instead.

Don't you love her 3D glasses?  haha

Donuts and Cider

Ever since I was a little girl, my Grandma has served us applesauce with many of our meals at her house.  But this applesauce is SO much better than anything you would buy at a store.  She makes it herself, with fresh, sweet, Michigan grown apples!  The tradition was passed on and my family also makes homemade applesauce!  So quite a few years ago, my family started a tradition of going out to little apple orchards, and buying our apples, and then taking a trip out to Uncle John's cider mill for some yummy, and furthest thing from "good for you" donuts!

Sadly, we had a really early spring this year, which caused everything to bloom early, but sadly it frosted over again, killing many of the apple crop.  Most places arn't selling apples and the cider is either from last year, or really expensive.  So, our trip this year, was for the donuts!  haha

I'm so blessed to have a job where I'm able to join my family in events like these.  I brought the boys along with me, and we went with my grandparents for our donuts run!   It was fun to take the boys along and get a little taste of what it's like taking two little busy boys out!  So I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to the pictures I was taking, and more on the kids and what they were doing.  We had a blast and I enjoyed getting to take them with me!

Looking at where they usually make the cider

Watching the skeleton "play" piano

I'm really annoyed that I cut his feet off!
It was also pretty dark in there :/

Donuts!

Poor little guy was getting so sleepy!

The sad little trees :(

The little tractor ride we took through the orchard

Photo a day October!

I can't believe I did it!  I made it a whole month and took a picture every day!!  (except for one)
It was so fun, I'm doing it again for November!  I love looking at these colleges and seeing what my month looked like.  I can't believe it's over, it feels like I just started!  I loved how easy the challenge was!  When I first started doing it, I would have to remember, but as I kept doing it, I just got used to it and it was so fun finding ways to tie in the prompt for the day, and what my day was like.  I had a blast doing it!  You all should try it, it's well worth it!  Here are my photos for October:

A few notes:
Day 5 I took two pictures of "Shadow"

And day 6, I took two pictures of "I'm thankful for.."

day 15, No I didn't eat the tree for dinner, that was the day I didn't take a picture so I just used that one taken the next day since I need that space filled to make the college work!!  haha
